ABOUT soloNOVA ARTS:
soloNOVA ARTS began as the soloNOVA Arts Festival in 2004 as a vehicle to showcase innovative solo artists representing various artistic disciplines, cultures and perspectives. The soloNOVA Arts Festival was the longest-running solo performance festival in New York City, curated to showcase the best in puppetry, dance, magic, physical theatre, multi-character monologues, multi-media, and other innovative forms of solo storytelling. Over the 10-year-history of the festival, terraNOVA Collective has presented over 300 of the best solo performers from New York City and internationally. soloNOVA productions have been honored with 35 New York Innovative Theatre Award nominations and 6 awards. Now in its 11th season, terraNOVA Collective has re-envisioned soloNOVA to support solo artists year-round at different stages of development. This season, we are offering two modes of soloNOVA presentation: Workshop (June 2014) and Production (fall/winter 2014). |
